Privacy notice
This site has one form and one cookie. Here is exactly what each of them does.
Who this covers
This notice covers layconnect.com and the contact form on it. LayConnect decides why and how the data described here is handled. Write to contact@layconnect.com about anything on this page.
What the contact form collects
Your name, your email address, the subject you choose, your message, and your company if you choose to give one. Company is optional. Everything else is what we need in order to reply.
Why we collect it
To read your message and reply to it. That is the only purpose. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a list, and we do not sell or share it.
What else the submission carries
The address your request came from and the browser identifier your browser sends. Both are used to tell one genuine submission apart from a flood of automated ones, and for nothing else.
How it reaches us
Submissions are delivered to our inbox by email, through a delivery provider, and they stay in that inbox. They are not written to a database on this site, because this site has no database.
Protecting the form from bots
The form is protected by a challenge run by a third-party provider, so that automated submissions do not reach us. That provider sees your request in order to score it. We will name the providers we use on request.
How long we keep it
While the conversation is useful, and no longer. Ask us to delete your message and we will delete it from the inbox.
Cookies
One cookie, and only for language: it remembers which of the two versions you are reading, so you do not have to choose again. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie and no tracking on this site.
Choosing your language
When you arrive at the top of the site, we look up the country of the address your request came from, using a database held on our own server, in order to send you to the English or the French version. The lookup happens in memory and its result is not stored. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include the address your request came from.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@layconnect.com. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
